Hi, Iām Payal! I have supported many individuals over the past eight years from all walks of life to navigate challenging mental health concerns, acute medical concerns, and everyday life obstacles towards recovery. I am passionate about working with people, and have a keen interest in empowering people to be their best selves and live authentic meaningful lives.
With experience working across the lifespan, my areas of interest and practice are in mood and anxiety concerns, grief and loss, adjustment to acute and chronic medical conditions, pain education, stress management, and improving and building self-esteem and resilience to improve overall life satisfaction. I enjoy working with individuals ranging from young adults to the elder adult population.
No one person is the same, and I ensure to draw on a range of different theories, models, and practice approaches to suit client needs. These include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) Skills, and Mindfulness practices. She creates a safe and calm space to allow for growth, reflection, and change.
